dirtyconverse disco#10 beckons...inbetween holidays and hangovers, we are going starry-eyed and this month are inviting ex-WISH DJ La Coop to bring a little modern dancefloor music to our party.
She proudly doesn't do silly mixing tricks and plays a smorgasboard (good word) of indie dance disco type modern electro-ish stuff like The Knife, Chew Lips, Crystal Castles, MEN and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. As always, songs with words, and a BEAT, which you will probably know and want to dance to. We've asked her kindly to dig out some select parts of her record collection, and mix in some older disco CLASSICS. just for fun...
p.s. We told her we don't really do remixes, but half the fun of having guest DJs is that no disco is EVER the same...
AND, because we are a disco in a pub, we thought it would be a good idea to make more the PUB, of a dirtyconverse eve. So, it will be FREE to get into King's Cross Social Club before 10.30.
Come early, cheaply, and listen to the more curious and interesting parts of our playlists, with a wee beer before the d-floor goes OFF.
